TWE, man, you need to start reviewin' some good stuff. Your review are top notch, but are of crappy music.

You know that's actually the second time I've been told that. Although you did rate The Chariot above average so you lose some points there. Kidding, but if nothing else I prove fans of so called "bad" music can possess brain cells.

it was a joke. meaning.
they sound exactly like as i lay dying.

I just finished reviewing this album, but after reading this.. I'm ashamed of my own.

I enjoyed this album though there was nothing particularly unique about it. Just another decent run-of-the-mill christian metalcore groups I suppose. But it's a solid release, just nothing different to set this band apart from any others. And I'm pretty sure Iceman was kidding :P

Or maybe AILD sounds like every other metalcore band in the world. They arent the definitive for this sound. I think I enjoyed this cd more than any AILD. Its more memorable to me.

This would be so much better if the riffs were more diverse. It seems like every song on here has the same riff.
Thoughts in Reverse is sick though.

Agreed with the same riff comment. If I don't want to think and just want to listen to
some semi-boring, but still kind-of-gets-me-goin kind of metal I throw this in.
When I saw them live, a while back, the singer kept doing the slitting the neck motion
with his thumb. It got really stupid...really fuckin fast haha. This Message Edited On 02.10.08

the first 5 songs are good, but it goes massively downhill after that. everyone starts to blend and generally sound the same.
saints and my darkness are good songs.

Long review for a album that only needs a few words to describe it.
Good review at that though.

i thought this album was actually really good,
very catchy and some may argue but i think they have quite an original sound.
some people say they are a (as i lay dying cover band) but i actually enjoy listenenin to them more than as i lay dying.

I think this is a great metalcore album. I find them to be alot different than AILD contrary to many beliefs. Same lyrical structure but different vocal styles etc.

True that. I don't think As I Lay Dying is really that awesome and they're definitely generic as fuck. This band is also quite generic but even if they do sound like As I Lay Dying I think they do it better and more catchy. I think this is a solid release for what the metalcore genre is. They didn't change anything up but they were very tight instrumentally and vocally. BTW, if u enjoy this album, don't get their new one. In my opinion the new vocalist dude sounds like a fag

catchy songs, repetitive album. from the red is catchy as fuck

This can actually be more enjoyable to listen to than AILD, in some sort of horrible, generic metalcorey kind of way…
Also, From the Red is badass.
