I have fallen in love with Mike Patton as a result of his work with the Dillinger Escape Plan. Is this a good band to listen to the albums in order or is one album or another better to start with. I'm most interested in this project of mike's and i have their three LPs. Where should i start?

This album is by far the easiest one to get into unless you can adapt fast to really weird crap. But if you're a Patton fan you may not have a problem with starting with any album.

I hope you don't expect this to be anything like his DEP work.

No i don't. I'm looking for insanity and I read the reviews and think i'll like what i get. I still kinda don't know what to expect but as long as it's the same singer i'm interested.

With this album, imagine if the Beach Boys got ahold of some crack, recruited half of a metal band but decided to keep their Middle Eastern influenced percussion section and let Mike Patton go all out.

This album was a grower for me. My first impression of this album was decent and as I played more, it started to get better and better . "Vanity Fair" is a personal favorite of mine.

This is a brilliant album, however it is not as rewarding or as challenging as Disco Volante, in my opinion Bungles true opus. I suppose this is the album Bungle virgins should get first though.

as much as i love it i can't give this a 5 because it doesn't strike me as awesome if i'm not in the mood for it (which is rare) and "the holy filament" sucks.

This... Scares me.
What am I listening to? Seriously. What... genre is this?
It's like there isn't. Like... It's all just random. Mike Patton scares me.

this is normal compared to their other albums, especially disco volante. but this album is actually one of the scariest albums i've heard.

the newest album by Mr Bungle guitarist Trey Spruance's band Secret Chiefs 3 kicks the hell out of this one when you solely look at the genre jumps between the songs.

in the end I guess it's Patton's voice that makes this the better of these two.
