These guys are playing with Modern Life is War in a month. I should probably brush up on some of their stuff.

LISTEN TO THE FREEBIRD RIP OFF. its the last song on this cd. Their new stuff is pretty catchy, but the overuse of the pentatonic scale may get annoying after a while. The riffs aren't bad and tones pretty good, vocals are good. Worth at least checking out.

That's not Free Bird. It's a slightly modified Simple Man. And given the mother references and Southern Rock inspirations on the album, it's an homage, not a ripoff.

Anyway, what's with the huge Civil War intro?
It doesn't even apply to Maylene & The Sons of Disaster in any way. Hell, their concept (as a concept band) deals with subjects long after the Civil War.This Message Edited On 12.16.07

I think this is stronger than II overall. Put on a great show as well, i'd pay to see them again. This band is unsuprisingly big in my area.

Yeah same here. We have BTBAM and Daylight Dies...that's about it. There's a huge deathcore scene here and it's all awful.

Unless we're talking about football of course. I'm still taking N.C because I love that state. You forgot Glass Caskety who slay masses.

woah woah woah. my hero is me was fucking amazing. so is akissforjersey like you said and btbam. secret lives of the freemasons as well but all for btbam have disbanded. nc blows. we are left with a lot of shit bands that take off while the good ones fall into bankruptcy because the scene here and promoting is horrible.
