To Forgive is a gorgeous song

Yes, Yes. And when he goes "Nothing is important to me", Billy sings it like he really means it.

This album just celebrated its 20th birthday on Saturday. Long live!

I stood in line at 12 in Madison Wisc. to get this, kind of disappointed. Some good songs, but no Gish or Siamese Dream

this is better than Gish for sure

maybe I was tired of the format by then, Siamese Dreamn however, may be one of the best records of the 90's. I just love the ambiance of it. Got it on vinyl fifteen years ago, has a great warm, rich sound, wore out the tape in the car when it came out.
What do you think my man?

we definitely played the shit out of siamese upon its release as well.....and like i said on other threads, i made the brutal mistake of purchasing cassettes over vinyls for a while......not the case with siamese though since cd's were flying by then

the volume button would stick, so if I hit a big bump the tape deck would crank up to blaring, and had to quickly turn it down before the speakers blew, ah, the good old days

lol yep.....i had to bang the side of the center console at times in order to get the tape to start playing in the '86 camaro haha.....not to mention having to ff and rw

This is exactly what I'd hoped would happen when I mentioned this album's 20th. Mass nostalgia.

there was no sputnik, rym, blabbermouth, spotify, downloading, band websites.......you had the record store, friday night videos, then MTV (actually played videos believe it or not), circus magazine, hit parader, and band FAN CLUBS if you wanted to stay abreast on the 'latest' news
there was a lot of tape dubbing which is kind of equivalent to downloading illegally today
it was tough folks

"friday night videos"
I remember that shit. Yowza. Loving how much easier it is to watch a music video in the 21st century.
Ahaha. And hit parader. holy f that's funny.

friday night videos....you had either a half hour or an hour window to see what they would play at like 11 p.m.
